Dr. Christos Sevastiadis was born in Thessaloniki, Greece on July 20, 1973. He completed his studies at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH) and received the diploma degree in Electrical Engineering in the direction of Telecommunications, Information and Digital Signal Processing Technologies in 1997. His diploma thesis Adaptive directional microphone system was awarded with the “Ericsson Award of Excellence in Telecommunications”, by Ericsson Hellas S.A., in 1998. He completed his PhD on Electroacoustics at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) in 2011. He has worked as instructor at public vocational school, as temporary teacher in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (AUTH), as temporary teacher at the School of Journalism and Media Studies (AUTH), as freelancer in IT projects, as project manager in research programs, as acoustics consultant to private construction projects, as engineering supervisor of public electromechanical facilities (AUTH) and as supervisor in project management of public construction projects (AUTH). Since 2014 he is laboratory teacher and teaching assistant at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (AUTH). He is teaching in the courses of electroacoustics, electroacoustic measurements, electrical measurements, mathematics and electric energy systems. Since 2017 he is teaching also in the Postgraduate Programme "Protection, conservation and restoration of cultural monuments". Christos is focusing in computational (Finite Element Method, Finite-difference in Time-domain Method) analysis of enclosed and free acoustic fields, in electroacoustics, building acoustics and noise measurements, in the analysis, design and construction of sound sources for acoustic measurements and in the use of numerical computing software, computer algebra systems and program-ming languages in teaching.
